it's...really hard to write an about page. have a list of kat facts.

  • i'm a prolific self-hoster, hosting so many websites that i've lost count. this is part flex, part self-own.
  • i'm a contract sysadmin for fujocoded LLC
  • i've been a fan of japanese and korean idols since at least 2019.
    • dambara ruru is my kami-oshi (favorite idol of all time).
  • i suck ass at coding, but when i dabble in it, it's usually with ruby.
  • i love to listen to music, write absolute nonsense, drink inhuman amounts of coffee, and struggle post in commit messages.
  • i'm an avid comic reader; i mainly read DC, and my all time favorite comic is batgirl (2000) .
    • sometimes i'll also check out indie stuff, especially if it involves my favorite women in comics, maria llovet and luana vecchio.

superlove is a multi-user fanworks community (original works are also welcome!), powered by the codebase behind AO3, the biggest fanfiction site in the world. i am the third person to host an independent instance of this code, after the lovely people behind SquidgeWorld and Ad Astra + CFAA.

love4eva is a small journaling community for my friends and i. it is powered by the codebase behind dreamwidth, a fork of livejournal that, unlike the latter, continues to be open source and actively developed. i am the first person to successfully attempt to self-host the dreamwidth stack with docker compose, which i have documented.
